Youth Supporting Service Members, Veterans and Their Family Members

To inspire patriotism in fellow youth and across generations by volunteering on behalf of military and veterans through community service, advocacy, and education.

Youth for Troops provides the workforce to help at many local military and veteran events. Serving could include holding flags in the Honor Guard, poppy and flag distribution during holidays, handing out water bottles or items at an event, greeting and providing event information, serving snacks, and hosting games or crafts.

Youth for Troops works on a variety of projects including appreciation card drives, plastic mats for homeless veterans, holiday basket/gift drives for children of veterans in need, and monthly dinners with projects at local senior living facilities.

Packing care packages for active service members and backpacks for homeless veterans are ongoing projects for Y4T. We collect a variety of items including hotel toiletries, non-perishable food, comfort items, and water bottles. We also encourage writing appreciation notes or letters to be included in the packages and backpacks. Whether it is in our community, or one much farther away from home, we know that all in need deserve our help and support.

Help Youth for Troops make a difference in the lives of our military men and women and their families by making a tax-deductible gift today.

We hope to have children, youth, and families desire to serve veterans and service members through events with Youth for Troops. We ask that parents download and sign the Permission Slip and Code of Conduct forms for each child. These forms need to be turned in prior to participating in any event. The forms will remain valid and on file with Y4T until contacted in writing. Thank you.
